Sediment Control

Filtrexx® filter soxx are used for the perimeter control of sediment and other soluble pollutants around construction and mining sites.
Filter soxx used for sediment control can be installed downslope from any disturbed area and are most effective when installed perpendicular to sheet or low concentrated flow.
Sediment control is a practice to hold eroded soil at the construction site so that it will not wash away and bring water leakage to the surrounding channel, river, lake or shore. It could be typically used along with erosion controls, which would help to avoid or mitigate erosion.
It is designed to be transient, but some can be used for stormwater management processes. The use of sediment control techniques on the construction sites would protect watersheds from reaching the sand, soil, cement and other raw materials. Even a small level of pollution from a site can cause substantial harm to the environment by killing aquatic life, sediment down streams and obstruct waste water ducts.
Soil erosion, sediment and pollutants from building sites could be a significant source of groundwater contamination which would inflict substantial environmental damage. Those that do not follow with the sediment control regulations on a construction site may be charged or fined on-the-spot. Corporations, constructors, private contractors and organizations could all be penalized. So make sure you have the right application to keep you secure.
