Description
Sediment control is a three-dimensional conical sediment control and stormwater filtration system usually utilized on and around infrastructure operations for perimeter monitoring, inlet protection, test dams, slope interruption and runoff drainage for sediment and soluble contaminants. Traps sediment and soluble particles by processing rainwater as it moves through several organic layers and enabling water to deposit the suspended solids behind the unit. Sediment regulation is often used on sloped surfaces to reduce the sediment flow velocities.
The Filtrexx compost sediment siltation silt sock stops pollutants in two ways:
- Deposition- sediment settles out as water ponds behind the barrier
- Filtration- sediment is trapped as water passes through the barrier
Advantages:
- The silt sock does not have to be trenched or disturb any soil. It does not damage tree roots like silt fence trenching.
- Sediment is stopped in its tracks.
- 50% more design capacity and flow through than silt fence.
- Easily removed and minimal disposal costs.
- Inlet Protection: The silt sock is used as a sediment filter will restrict silt and sediment from going into catch basins and be used as a curb sediment containment system.
- Check Dams: Use as a check dam device in stormwater ditches, channels, and swales on or near land disturbing activities.
Integrated Erosion Control Australia –
Integrated Erosion Control Australia has the best in market SiltSoxx. Which uses locally recycled organic materials and is utilized on and around infrastructure operations for perimeter monitoring, inlet protection, slope interruption and does not have to be trenched and does not damage tree roots like silt fence trenching.
